He starred in The 6th Day (2000), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), and Man of Steel (2013). In addition to his film roles, he has appeared in numerous series, including The X-Files (1993–2018), Stargate SG-1 (1997–2007), and Smallville (2001–2011).
