She first became famous in the 1990s as "Sporty Spice" in the pop group Spice Girls. Since the Spice Girls went on hiatus in 2000, Melanie C has had a successful solo career, releasing four albums and topping the US Billboard Dance Chart. Her 1999 solo album Northern Star was her biggest UK hit.
